Blood-borne Pathogens are microorganisms that carry diseases through contact with blood. Some of these diseases are deadly, without a known or available cure. These pathogens include, but are not limited to the Hepatitis B virus (HBV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
This course is designed for employees who are not expected to come into regular contact with blood and bodily fluids at their workplace but who may have contact with these fluids on rare occasions.
As a Health and Safety Committee member, or someone who may be required to deliver first aid and/or CPR, this course will give you the information you need to protect yourself and your co-workers from potentially fatal blood-borne pathogens.
